Medeama SC 0-1 Al Ahly

Hussein El Shahat, 48th min

Medeama Xl

  1. Felix Kyei (GK): was in his element as he showed his calmness and sweeping abilities. 6
  2. Kamaradini Mamudu (RB): the right-back was not the Mamudu we have seen in the CAF Champions League but he kept El Shahat a bit quiet. 5.4
  3. Fatawu Hamidu (LB): had so many encounters with Percy Tau. His set-piece delivery was so good. 6
  4. Kobinah Amoah (CB): New in the team. The youngster showed immense composer against Modeste and El Shahat. 5.5
  5. Baba Musah (CB): his ball playing from the back was excellent even though Al Ahly capitalised on his poor pass to score 5
  6. Ourega (MDF): nothing worked for the Ivorian on the day. 3.8
  7. Manuel Mantey (MDF): He was so sensational as he challenged El Solia and Emam Ashour always. 5.7
  8. Nana Kofi Babel (FW): His pace and dribbling gave the Ahly defence a tough time. 5
  9. Derrick Fordjour (LF): He likes to overdo everything. He made Hany sweat on the right wing though. 5
  10. Daniel Lomotey (RW): The pacy winger could have scored a brace but was wasteful. 4.8
  11. Bernardino Tetteh (CF): his touches were great but squandered two clear opportunities 4.8

Coach: Evans Augustine Adotey 5.5

Al Ahly

Shobier (GK): made 4 crucial saves to deny Medeama. 6.8

ABD Elmonem (CB): was unbreakable at the back. 6.4

Yasser Ibrahim (CB): made sure Bernadinho Tetteh and Fordjour were not going to hurt Sobeir. 6.4

Hany (RB): kept his cool to deal with Fordjour’s pace and tricks. 6

Maaloul (LB): the veteran’s calmness prevented Lomotey from damaging Ahly. 6

El Soulia (MDF): the general was seen leading the midfield with his experience. 6

Karim Walid Nedved (CDM): made Ourega ordinary as he was all over him. 6

Emam Ashour (MDF): was everywhere on the pitch. 7

El Shahat (LW): scored the only goal and had two dangerous shots wide off the post. 6.5

Tau (RW): was quiet in attack but helped Hany defensively. 6

Modeste (CF): the big man won most of the air balls. He assisted El Shehat’s goal. 6

Coach: Marcel Koller 6
