Brighton & Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey has been recalled by Otto Addo in his first-ever squad since being reappointed as the Head coach of Ghana.

Tariq Lamptey, 23, missed the 2023 AFCON due to injuries but has been included in Otto Addo’s 26-man squad for the friendly games against Uganda and Nigeria in Marrakech, Morocco in the
final week of March.

Tariq Lamptey is highly rated by Otto Addo as he was part of Ghana’s defence during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Other returnees are Edmund Addo, Abdul Fatawu Issahak and Patrick Pozo.

Meanwhile, Ivorian-born 23-year-old midfielder Mohammed Diomand has surprisingly been called up by Otto Addo. The other new players in the team include Osman Ibrahim of Nordsjaelland, goalkeeper David Akologo who plies his trade in Bolivia and Asante Kotoko’s goalkeeper Frederick Asare. France-based Nathaniel Adjei also got his maiden call-up.

Skipper Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus and Abdul Samed are all included in the 26-man squad.

Below is the full squad:
