The Ghana Football Association, has explained the reasons behind Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey’s absence from Otto Addo’s recently announced Black Stars squad.
The Ghana gaffer on Saturday, announced a strong 26-man squad to face Nigeria and Uganda in the upcoming FIFA international friendly matches later this month with Partey, Inaki Williams and Joseph Paintsil who recently signed for LA Galaxy.
According to the Ghana Football Association, the Black Stars deputy captain to be “excused from the game to gain full fitness following recent injuries.”
Ghana will take on Nigeria on Friday, March 22, before facing Uganda four days later.
