Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara has adopted a cautious approach regarding the team’s prospects of winning the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League title, despite their recent impressive form.
The Phobians have emerged as a formidable force in the ongoing campaign after overcoming a sluggish start to the league season.
Since Ouattara’s arrival at the club before the start of the second round, Hearts of Oak have experienced a significant upturn in performance, securing three victories and two draws in their last five matches.
With an accumulation of 11 points from a possible 15 in the second half of the domestic top-flight season, the Ghanaian giants have climbed the league standings and now sit in 7th place, level on points with rivals Asante Kotoko.
Despite the club’s resurgence and their current position in the league table, Coach Ouattara remains cautious about making any promises regarding winning the Ghana Premier League title.
“We are trying to play well, and anything can happen along the way, but I can never promise the cup. We are taking it step by step and match by match to progress,” stated Ouattara.
Hearts of Oak have now surpassed rivals Asante Kotoko on Ghana Premier League table. They are now 7th on the standings but tied on points with Kotoko.
