Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus has etched his name in West Ham United’s history books by becoming the club’s highest-scoring Ghanaian player, surpassing the record previously held by Andre Ayew.
Kudus achieved this milestone with his 13th goal for the Hammers during their 4-3 defeat to Newcastle United. This tally eclipses Ayew’s 12 goals for West Ham United across two seasons.
Remarkably, Kudus accomplished this feat in just 35 games for the London club, a remarkable achievement considering Ayew needed 50 games to reach his tally.
The 23-year-old attacker has been a prolific scorer across various competitions for West Ham. In the Premier League, he has notched seven goals in 25 appearances and provided four assists.
Additionally, he has one goal in three English League Cup matches, including a memorable strike that eliminated Arsenal from the competition.
Furthermore, Kudus has been a standout performer in the Europa League, finding the net five times in seven matches.
His most recent European exploits included a sensational solo goal against Freiburg in the round of 16, where he bagged a brace to underline his importance to the team.
