Ange Postecoglu has confirmed that Malian midfielder Yves Bissouma will miss the rest of the season. The English Premier League will end on Sunday with Tottenham still holding on to their slim hope of qualifying for the UCL at the expense of Aston Villa.

“Unfortunately, Biss picked up a knee injury in the last game and will miss the last two,” confirmed Ange Postecoglu, Tottenham Hotspur’s manager ahead of Manchester City’s clash on Tuesday night.

Mali will host Ghana in Bamako in the MD3 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and it remains unknown whether Bissouma will return to the Eagles set-up or not.

The 27-year-old was not part of Eric Chelle’s squad that won against Nigeria and Mauritania in March’s international friendly.

Mali is expected to name their squad to face Ghana and Madagascar next month latest by the end of next week. The Eagles are in second place in Group I of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
