The last time an undisputed Heavyweight title was contested was on 13th March 1999 when Evander Hollyfield and Lennox Lewis battled at the Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York in the USA. The two undefeated boxers competed for the WBA, WBC and IBF Heavyweight titles.

The first bought was controversially ruled a split draw as many thought Lennox Lewis was the winner.

In the rematch eight months later (13th November 1999), Lennox Lewis was awarded the victory via unanimous decision, becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Riddick Bowe in 1992.

Whoever wins on Saturday night will be the first-ever undisputed Heavyweight champion of the world in 24 years.
