Otto Addo’s first squad for Black Stars in his second coming, Ivorian youngster Diomande Mohammed who plays for Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers was included to the surprise of many Ghanaians.
Born in Ivory Coast but groomed in the famous Right to Dream Academy in Ghana, the youngster was eligible to represent his motherland, Ivory Coast and the country he was nurtured, that is Ghana.
The midfielder declined the invitation by Ghana and has officially confirmed his decision to represent Ivory Coast.
“I opted for Ivory Coast, I want to defend the colours of my country, I am ready to play with the Elephants in A or with the U23s,” said Diomande.
Otto Addo called him for the Black Stars but the Rangers 22-year-old midfielder has disclosed that he is willing to play for either the Elephants or the U23 of Ivory Coast.
