Great Olympics welcome Real Tamale United to the capital on Sunday in the final match of the 2023-24 Ghana Premier League campaign.

The ‘Dade Boys’ must grind out a win and hope other results go their way to avoid being relegated from the country’s top-tier.

Olympics have their work cut out for them when they entertain the basement club at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

For Real Tamale United, the result on Sunday won’t matter after their relegation was confirmed last weekend.

Great Olympics are 16th on the table in the relegation Zone after 33 matches with 41 points, having won 2, drawn 2 and suffered 1 defeat in their last 5 league games.

The capital side have managed to accumulate 28 points at home in this campaign, scoring 17 and conceding 9. They are among the least conceded sides at home.

The Accra based side have lost one of their last five home league games.

Relegated side Real Tamale United have accumulated 31 points from 33 having won 2 and suffered 3 defeats in their last 5 outings.

The Tamale based are the weakest away side in this campaign, following 1 win and 14 defeats, scoring 11 and conceding a whopping 35 goals.

Real Tamale United have conceded the most goals in this campaign (52).

Great Olympics have played Real Tamale United twice at home in the league since 2021/22 season with Great Olympics winning in both encounters.

In the 2021/22 season, Great Olympics beat Real Tamale United 2-1 and repeated same score line in the 2022/’23 season.

Great Olympics boasts Emmanuel Antwi, Albert Amoah, Matthew Abayase, Gladson Awako, Samuel Ashie-Quaye, Isaac Mensah, Richard Botchway, Ebenezer Sekyere, Razak Kasim, Christopher Nettey, Raymond Grippman, Mathew Agama, Kekeli Attor, Michael Osei and Abednego Asafo.

Real Tamale United top scorer Mohammed Mankuyeli is likely to start the game on Sunday.

Other players like, Issah Ahmed, Mohammed Iddriss, Baba Kushibo, Faisal Gariba, Awudu Mohammed, Adams Hafiz, Abdul Sayibu, Asuno Adjetey, Husein Bilal, Lord Adabo, Abu Mohammed, Alhassan Musah and Jorge Renchi could all be available for the match.
