Bofoakwa Tano’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Alexander Ababio, has expressed unwavering confidence in the team’s readiness to represent Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup in the upcoming season.
Mr. Ababio’s bold declaration comes in anticipation of the crucial FA Cup final clash against regional rivals, Nsoatreman FC, slated for this weekend.
Despite Bofoakwa Tano’s relegation from the Ghana Premier League in the recently concluded season, the club’s CEO remains optimistic and prepared for the challenge of competing in the African tournament should they emerge victorious in the FA Cup.
“In our previous encounters with Nsoatreman FC, neither side managed to secure a win, but we have been diligently preparing for this upcoming match,” stated Mr. Ababio in an interview with Asempa FM.
He continued, “The Board of Directors has shown their commitment by agreeing to back the club’s participation in the CAF Confederation Cup if we triumph in the FA Cup. Despite the disappointment of relegation, we are determined to represent our country on the continental stage.”
“We have been in training camp since last week, focusing on our strategies and team cohesion. As we approach the final, I have full belief that we will emerge victorious. The rivalry between Bofoakwa Tano and Nsoatreman FC adds intensity to the match, but we are resolute in our aim to claim the championship title.”
The highly anticipated final showdown will take place at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Sunday, with the kickoff scheduled for 18:00 GMT. Bofoakwa Tano’s ambitions and determination to excel beyond domestic borders are set to add an electrifying element to the prestigious competition.
