Accra Hearts of Oak, one of Ghana’s most storied clubs, is reportedly on the verge of bolstering their squad with the signing of talented midfielder Joseph Amoah from Legon Cities.
According to Kickgh.com, the Phobians have officially approached Legon Cities to secure Amoah’s services, aiming to strengthen their team and avoid another disappointing season like the 2023/24 campaign.
The 19-year-old Amoah has been a subject of interest for several clubs in the Ghana Premier League due to his impressive debut season with Legon Cities.
Despite being just 19, he has already showcased his ability to control the tempo of matches and contribute significantly to attacks, providing seven assists in 24 Premier League games and scoring two goals with four assists in the FA Cup.
Accra Hearts of Oak’s interest in Amoah is not surprising, given their need to revamp the team after a challenging 2023/24 season. The club narrowly escaped relegation, finishing 14th with 45 points, just one point above the relegated Accra Great Olympics.
The Phobians’ management is eager to add Amoah’s talent to their squad, as he aligns with their playing style and has the potential to be a key player for the club in the future.
