Ghanaian winger Matthew Anim Cudjoe has expressed his desire to earn a call-up to the Black Stars, despite not having received a nod from the national team yet.
The 22-year-old, who has parted ways with Scottish side Dundee United, is keen to showcase his skills at the senior level after helping the Black Satellites win the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations 2021 in Mauritania.
Cudjoe, who is eager to secure a new club before the summer transfer window ends, believes he has what it takes to make a significant impact in Otto Addo’s squad.
“I want to play for the Black Stars. It would be a dream. When I was with Asante Kotoko, I always told the media I wanted to play for the national team. I believe it’s just a matter of time,” he said.
The winger, who can play on either wing or as a number 10, is confident that his hard work and form will eventually lead to a call-up.
“I believe in myself and know the opportunity will come. It’s about hard work, the coach, and my form. I think this year people will see me in the national team, and when they do, they’ll see Messi in me,” he added.
Cudjoe’s ambition is clear: he wants to make a big impact when he finally gets the chance to represent Ghana at the senior level.
