Member of parliament for Kwadaso, Hon Kingsley Nyarko has waded into the ongoing debating about the comparison of President Akuffo Addo to Kwame Nkrumah.
The outdooring ceremony of Hon Mathew Opoku Prempeh as the running mate to Vice President took a different twist when the former attempted to compare the achievement of the first president to the current president.
“Since independence from 1957 till today, we’ve not had any president that has helped Ghana like Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. I say from 1957 till today, you can bring your Kwame Nkrumah… no president who has protected Ghana and moved the country forward like Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo,” he explained.
However, during a political discussion on the popular Good Morning Ghana programme on Metro Tv, the Kwadaso MP explained he will not contest the running mate because that was his opinion. In a sharp contrast he rather compared the two to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. “It is the same thing that goes on between Ronaldo and Messi”
The comment by Mathew Opoku Prempah has been topical in the media space with many calling for the retraction of the comment made by the former educational minister.
