Former Hearts of Oak chairman Harry Zakour has spoken glowingly about his six-year tenure at the club, crediting it for his success and hailing it as a period of unparalleled achievement.
During his time at the helm, Zakour led the Phobians to an unprecedented quadruple in 2000, winning the Ghana Premier League, FA Cup, CAF Champions League, and Africa Super Cup.
Regarded as one of the most successful administrators in Ghanaian football history, Zakour expressed deep affection for the club, stating that Hearts of Oak made him who he is today.
“I managed Hearts of Oak for six years and there is nothing on earth I never won. I won the league six times, the FA Cup, and all other trophies, so that is enough,” he said.
Zakour’s love for the club is evident, as he revealed that even seeing the club struggle now takes an emotional toll on him.
“Hearts of Oak made me who I am today. I’m so proud of Hearts of Oak, so if the club is in difficulties, it itches my body,” he added.
