Ghanaian international Joseph Wollacott delivered an outstanding performance for Crawley Town on Tuesday night, helping his team secure a 4-2 victory over Swindon Town in the first round of the EFL Cup.

Wollacott, the Black Stars’ goalkeeper, started the match and played a crucial role in ensuring his side’s success. Crawley Town took the lead in the first half thanks to a solitary goal from Ade Adeyemo.

In the second half, Jack Roles extended Crawley’s lead just ten minutes after the break. However, Swindon Town quickly responded with a goal from Nnamdi Ofoborh in the 60th minute, reducing the deficit.

Five minutes later, Swindon Town was awarded a penalty, giving them a prime opportunity to equalize. Will Wright stepped up to take the shot, but Joseph Wollacott made a crucial save to maintain Crawley Town’s lead. Unfortunately for Crawley, the ensuing corner led to a goal by Harry Smith, leveling the score at 2-2.

Despite the setback, Crawley Town regained control of the match. Jack Roles found the back of the net again, and Rafiq Khaleel added another goal, sealing a 4-2 victory for Crawley Town by the end of the 90 minutes.

This win propels Joseph Wollacott and his Crawley Town teammates into the second round of the EFL Cup, continuing their campaign in the competition.
