Former West Ham United defender and Sky Sports pundit Tony Gale expressed high praise for Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus, suggesting that the player could be worth over £100 million.
Gale made these comments during live commentary for West Ham’s match against Fulham on Saturday, where Kudus delivered a decent but unspectacular performance.
“He’s worth £100 million, Kudus. I really do think he will be worth over that, he’s that good,” Gale stated during the first half, expressing confidence in Kudus’ future value.
However, as the match progressed, Gale’s view shifted. Kudus, playing out wide on the left, struggled to maintain his influence in the second half, leading to criticism from the pundit. Gale pointed out Kudus’ visible frustration and lack of involvement as the game wore on.
“Kudus looks like he’s in a sulk now,” Gale remarked. “He’s not been involved and hasn’t seen the ball as much as he’d like. It looks like he’s sulking because people aren’t passing to him. It’s bad body language, and he’s lost interest in tracking back and helping out defensively.”
The mixed assessment reflects a challenging start for Kudus, who has yet to score or assist in four Premier League appearances for West Ham this season.
