Former West Ham United defender Tony Gale has criticized Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus for his poor body language during West Ham’s 1-1 draw against Fulham on Saturday.
Gale, who was providing color commentary for Sky Sports, expressed disappointment with Kudus’ performance.
While Kudus had a relatively decent start, his impact waned in the second half as he became increasingly frustrated while playing on the left flank. Gale noted Kudus’ disengagement and lack of involvement, which he attributed to the player’s apparent sulking.
“Kudus looks like he’s in a sulk now,” Gale remarked. “He’s not been involved and hasn’t seen the ball as much as he’d like. It looks like he’s sulking because people aren’t passing to him. It’s bad body language, and he’s lost interest in tracking back and helping out defensively.”
Gale had earlier suggested that Kudus could be worth over £100 million, but his performance on Saturday failed to live up to that high valuation.
The 24-year-old has yet to register a goal or assist in four Premier League appearances this season.
