Ex-Ghana midfielder Derek Boateng has says that the current crop of players has yet to fully grasp the importance of donning the national team jersey.
Boateng says that their youth and inexperience players and that mean they are still adapting to the rigors of representing Ghana.
“So I think the coach is a new coach. He’s a young coach. We have young players and new players.
“They don’t know what it means to play for Ghana and what they have to go through before they can represent the country. So, for me, it’s a learning process for them.”
Ghana will face Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, October 10, before heading to Libya for the return match on October 15.
The Black Stars are third in Group F of the AFCON qualifiers after picking just one point from two games.
