Barcelona is reportedly gearing up to launch a substantial bid for West Ham United’s standout player, Mohammed Kudus, as interest in the Ghanaian forward continues to grow.
According to reports from Spanish media outlets, Barcelona’s pursuit of Kudus has intensified, with the club prepared to “bid heavily” for the talented winger. However, they face stiff competition from Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester City in the race for his signature.
West Ham has made it clear that they will only entertain offers starting at £84 million for the 24-year-old, reflecting his importance to the team. Kudus has been a vital player for both Julen Lopetegui and David Moyes, consistently showcasing his skills and solidifying his position in the squad.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has lauded Kudus as an “exceptional” player, further underscoring the Ghanaian’s rising profile in the English league. So far this season, Kudus has scored just one goal, which came in West Ham’s recent match against Ipswich Town.
Since joining the Hammers in a deal worth approximately £38 million from Ajax in 2023, Kudus has enjoyed a successful debut season, netting 13 goals across all competitions.
His versatility in attack, primarily playing in the number 10 role, combined with his pace and strength, has made him a highly sought-after talent among top managers.
