Medeama SC coach Nebojsa Kapor has described his side’s current three-game winless streak in the Ghana Premier League as “unacceptable,” expressing concern over their form ahead of a crucial clash against Nations FC.
The Yellow and Mauves suffered a 2-0 defeat to Bechem United last weekend and were held to goalless draws by both Heart of Lions and FC Samartex in their previous fixtures. Prior to this dip in form, Medeama had won their first three matches and were leading the league standings.
Ahead of their upcoming home game against Nations FC at the TNA Sports Stadium on Sunday, Kapor admitted his frustration with the team’s recent performances.
“I am really, and all of us are aware, that we cannot accept this. We played three matches—two at home and one away—and we didn’t win any match; we didn’t score, and this is something that we cannot accept,” Kapor stated.
He added that discussions with his players are ongoing as they look to correct their mistakes and improve in their next matches. “I am also a little deep in discussing with the players how to work on some things we should be able to do better and how to fix some issues in our next matches,” he said.
Medeama currently sit third on the league table with 11 points, just one point behind the top spot.
