Veteran Ghanaian football administrator Alhaji Grusah has voiced strong criticism against Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku, attributing the decline of Ghanaian football to Okraku’s leadership.
Grusah pointed to Ghana’s current FIFA ranking as evidence of this regression.
“The current FIFA ranking is clear proof that Ghanaian football under Kurt Okraku has been regressing. If I had authority, I would have fired Kurt Okraku by now,” Grusah declared during an interview on Akoma FM (87.9), underscoring his dissatisfaction with the GFA’s management.
Grusah’s remarks reflect growing concerns among stakeholders about the direction of the GFA, as Ghana faces mounting challenges on the international stage.
The Black Stars, currently struggling in their group, must secure victories against already-qualified Angola and Niger in their final Group F games next month.
To stay in contention for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, Ghana also depends on Sudan’s performance against these same opponents in the November qualifiers.
