Asante Kotoko coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has rejected suggestions that his team struggled in the midfield during their 1-1 draw against Basake Holy Stars at Ayinase. The match, which ended Kotoko’s three-game winning streak, included recent victories over defending champions FC Samartex.
Addressing the post-match commentary, Dr. Ogum defended his team’s midfield performance. “We rather had control over the midfield and even had a higher probability of scoring again in the second half… so I don’t think we lost the middle of the park,” he stated, indicating his belief that Kotoko remained strong in the center of the pitch.
