“We are tired of losing and it’s time to win games” – Kotoko legend George Kennedy

Former Asante Kotoko management member George Kennedy has expressed concern about the team’s inconsistent performance in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Porcupine Warriors endured a challenging run, suffering four consecutive defeats that drew intense criticism from fans and stakeholders. However, a 2-0 victory over Aduana Stars in Dormaa helped the team regain some momentum.

Kotoko’s record so far includes five wins, three draws, and four losses, earning them 18 points and placing them 7th on the league table after 12 matches.

George Kennedy, who witnessed the team’s recent FA Cup victory over Future Stars to progress to the Round of 32, emphasized the need for sustained improvement.

“We need to do things better as a club. It’s not acceptable for Kotoko to lose consecutive games,” he said in an interview with Kessben FM. “As we return to Baba Yara Sports Stadium, we hope and pray that things go well for us. We are tired of losing, and it’s time to win games.”

Asante Kotoko will next face archrivals Hearts of Oak in a highly anticipated matchday 13 clash at the Baba Yara Stadium when the Ghana Premier League resumes next week. The game is expected to be a litmus test for Kotoko’s resolve to turn their season around.
