Ghanaian forward Inaki Williams is optimistic that his younger brother, Nico Williams, will continue his outstanding performances for the rest of the 2024/25 season.
Nico, 22, has been in exceptional form recently, delivering three goals and two assists in his last three appearances for La Liga side Athletic Club. His resurgence has once again sparked interest from some of Europe’s elite clubs, with speculation about a potential transfer in the summer.
As the season reaches a crucial stage, Inaki is confident that his brother will keep delivering for Athletic Club. However, he also acknowledges the challenges Nico faces in making career-defining decisions at a young age.
“Everything that happened to him wasn’t easy. He’s a very young boy. Everything came to him very quickly,” Inaki told Gol in an interview.
“Having to make decisions alone is always complicated, especially when they put words in your mouth that you’ve never said.”
Athletic Club is set for a key showdown against Atletico Madrid this weekend, and both Williams brothers are expected to feature in the highly anticipated clash.
