Jeffrey Schlupp delivered a stellar performance, scoring a goal and providing an assist to help Celtic FC secure a commanding 5-2 victory over St Mirren on matchday 29 of the Scottish Premiership.
The 32-year-old played the full 90 minutes and continues to cement his place as a key player and fan favorite at Celtic Park.
Schlupp broke the deadlock in the 28th minute with a precise low shot into the bottom right corner. Later in the game, he set up South Korean forward Yang Hyun-Jun for Celtic’s final goal, sealing the latter’s brace. Arne Engels and Daizen Maeda also found the net for the visitors.
St Mirren managed two consolation goals through Declan John and Killian Phillips, but they couldn’t prevent Celtic from claiming all three points.
Since joining the Hoops on loan from Crystal Palace during the winter transfer window, Schlupp has made an immediate impact. His impressive form was already on display when he put in a commanding performance against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League playoffs.
