Ghana delivered a dominant performance on Friday, thrashing Chad 5-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium to move to the top of Group I in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Goals from Antoine Semenyo, Inaki Williams, Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Salisu, and Ernest Nuamah sealed an emphatic victory for the Black Stars.

Here’s how Ghana’s players rated in the commanding win:

Goalkeeper & Defense

Benjamin Asare – 7/10
Making his international debut, the Hearts of Oak shot-stopper had a quiet night, with Chad failing to register a shot on target. He commanded his area well and looked composed in possession.

Kingsley Schindler – 8/10
A constant attacking outlet from right-back, Schindler provided a perfect cross for Inaki Williams’ goal and was solid defensively when needed.

Mohammed Salisu – 8.5/10
Dominant at the back and a threat in attack, Salisu capped off a strong performance with a well-taken header for Ghana’s fourth goal.

Alexander Djiku – 7.5/10
Calm and composed, Djiku dealt comfortably with Chad’s limited attacks and played a key role in maintaining Ghana’s defensive solidity.

Gideon Mensah – 7/10
Energetic down the left flank, Mensah linked well with the attack but was not heavily tested defensively.

Midfield

Thomas Partey – 8/10
Controlled the tempo of the game effortlessly, dictating play from deep and distributing passes with precision before being substituted in the second half.

Mohammed Kudus – 7.5/10
Showed flashes of brilliance with his dribbling and vision, though he was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet.

Ernest Nuamah – 8.5/10
Lively throughout, Nuamah assisted Salisu’s goal from a corner and later scored himself with a composed finish. His movement caused problems for Chad’s defense.

Attack

Antoine Semenyo – 8/10
Opened the scoring early and won the penalty for Ayew’s goal. His pace and work rate were crucial in breaking down Chad’s defense.

Inaki Williams – 8/10
Kept his pre-match promise by scoring a well-timed header, ending his goal drought for Ghana. His pressing and link-up play were also impressive.

Jordan Ayew – 8.5/10
Scored from the penalty spot and provided a clever backheel assist for Nuamah’s goal. He was a key attacking figure throughout the game.

Substitutes

Lawrence Agyekum – 6.5/10
Came on for Partey and kept things tidy in midfield on his international debut.

Kamaldeen Sulemana – 6.5/10
Injected pace into the attack but lacked the final product in key moments.

Francis Abu – 6/10
Had a few decent touches but didn’t make a major impact after coming on.

Jerome Opoku – 6.5/10
Slotted in at the back comfortably, helping Ghana see out the clean sheet.

Jerry Afriyie – 6/10
A late introduction who had little time to influence the game.

Coach

Otto Addo – 9/10
His selection choices paid off, including the bold decision to start Benjamin Asare. His tactics ensured Ghana dominated from start to finish.
