Manchester United are stepping up their pursuit of in-form Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo as the summer transfer window approaches, with reports indicating the club is preparing a player-plus-cash offer to secure his signature.

Semenyo has emerged as a priority target for the Red Devils as they aim to bolster their attacking options ahead of the 2025/26 campaign. Following an underwhelming Premier League season, United are keen to reinforce their frontline, and the Bournemouth forward has been identified as a strong fit for new manager Ruben Amorim’s tactical setup.

Bournemouth have placed a hefty £75 million price tag on the 24-year-old, who has been a standout performer under Andoni Iraola this season, registering 10 goals and six assists in 36 appearances across all competitions. With Semenyo contracted to the Cherries until 2029, the club are under no pressure to sell and consider him a key component of their long-term project.

To navigate the high valuation, Manchester United are reportedly exploring the inclusion of fringe players in the deal to reduce the financial burden. Among those being considered are Jadon Sancho, who spent the second half of the season on loan at Chelsea and is said to be uninterested in a return to Old Trafford, and Marcus Rashford, whose future at the club remains uncertain.

United hope that leveraging squad depth will give them an edge over rival suitors, with both Liverpool and Tottenham also expressing interest in the Ghanaian international. Amorim, who recently took charge at Old Trafford, is believed to be an admirer of Semenyo’s dynamic playing style and sees him as a key figure in his rebuild plans.

As the transfer window draws closer, Manchester United are expected to intensify negotiations in a bid to outmaneuver their Premier League rivals and land one of the most sought-after forwards in English football.
