Ghanaian FIFA assistant referee Patricia Kyeraa is set to take part in a key preparatory programme ahead of the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), as she joins a distinguished lineup of match officials for a CAF training course in Cairo, Egypt.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will host the intensive four-day training from May 24 to May 29, 2025. The course aims to fine-tune the skills and readiness of Africa’s top referees and assistant referees as they gear up for the continent’s biggest women’s football tournament.
Kyeraa is among 49 selected officials who will undergo a series of physical drills, technical evaluations, and theoretical sessions to ensure they meet the high standards expected on the WAFCON stage. These rigorous preparations will play a vital role in maintaining excellence in officiating throughout the upcoming tournament.
This year’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, the 13th edition, will be hosted in Morocco from July 5 to July 26, 2025. The tournament promises to be a celebration of top-tier football and a showcase of Africa’s best women’s national teams.
