Interim head coach Abdul Karim Zito has admitted that Asante Kotoko will be in for a stern examination when they take on Dreams FC this weekend in a crucial Ghana Premier League fixture.
With the title race finely poised, Zito emphasized the need for meticulous preparation to avoid any slip-ups in their quest for the 2024/25 crown.
“Any team playing against Kotoko will prepare very well to meet us,” he said in a pre-match interview with AKSC Media. “If we are not equally prepared, we may laugh on the wrong side of our mouth. That’s why I make sure the boys are ready both mentally and physically.”
Zito added: “Every game Kotoko plays is a difficult game. We don’t have any easy fixtures, so we are preparing seriously.”
The Week 31 showdown kicks off at 15:00 GMT on Sunday, May 18, at the Baba Yara Stadium. A victory for the Porcupine Warriors would keep them firmly in contention for the league title as the season approaches its climax.
