Former Dreams FC goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi has expressed openness to joining one of Ghana’s biggest clubs—Accra Hearts of Oak or Asante Kotoko—if the opportunity arises, but insists any move would depend on the terms of the deal offered.

In an interview with Asempa FM’s SportsNite, Agbasi revealed he would not hesitate to accept a call-up from either of the Ghana Premier League powerhouses, provided the offer meets his professional and personal expectations.

“If I get a call-up from Accra Hearts of Oak or Asante Kotoko, I won’t hesitate—but it will depend on the deal,” Agbasi stated, highlighting his willingness to embrace a new challenge at the highest level of Ghanaian football.

Agbasi recently parted ways with Dreams FC following the end of the 2023/24 season, during which he played a vital role in the club’s historic run to the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup. His performances, marked by key saves and consistency between the posts, have earned him admiration across the Ghanaian football fraternity.

At just 24, Agbasi is regarded as one of the promising goalkeepers on the local scene, and with his contract status now free, interest in his services is expected to intensify during the transfer window.

While Agbasi remains open to playing for either of the two domestic giants, he emphasized the importance of a deal that aligns with his career goals, hinting that financial terms, playing time, and club ambition will be key factors in his decision.

Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko are both in the market to strengthen their squads ahead of the 2024/25 season, and Agbasi’s availability could provide a valuable addition to either side’s goalkeeping department.

Agbasi, who joined Dreams FC in 2021, leaves the club as one of its standout performers and with growing expectations about his next destination.
