Antoine Semenyo Reflects on Best Premier League Season with Bournemouth Amid Transfer Interest
Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has expressed his joy and gratitude following a remarkable season in the English Premier League with AFC Bournemouth.
The 25-year-old Black Stars attacker enjoyed his most productive campaign yet, finishing the 2024/25 season with 11 league goals — his highest tally since joining the Cherries. His form was capped off with an impressive brace on the final day, helping Bournemouth secure their best-ever points total in a Premier League season.
Semenyo’s explosive performances have not gone unnoticed, with several top European clubs reportedly monitoring his situation — including English champions Liverpool, who are said to be weighing a potential move for the in-form striker.
Taking to social media to reflect on the season, Semenyo wrote:
“24/25 season complete. One to remember for sure and thank God for getting through it injury free. Cherries fan base have been incredible all year around and thank you for the endless support!”
Although Semenyo has become a key figure at the Vitality Stadium, his future remains uncertain. With strong interest building, the Ghana international is expected to take time over the summer to consider his next move carefully.
He was notably absent from Ghana’s squad for the ongoing Unity Cup tournament in London due to a minor injury. However, the setback is not believed to be serious, and Semenyo is expected to be fit in time for preseason preparations — whether with Bournemouth or a new club.
