Liverpool have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich for the signing of Colombian forward Luis Diaz. The two humongous clubs finally reached an agreement on €75 million for the 28-year-old.

The Colombian was reportedly earning €3 million and will earn €14m-a-year at Bayern Munich.

Arne Slot’s side are preparing to defend their title after showing their competitors that they have what it takes to financially compete with the big boys.

Liverpool have probably been the busiest side in the transfer window with an eyewatering signings.

After spending huge sums of money in the market, Liverpool were expected to sell some of their players to balance the books, and Diaz was someone who was going to earn them much more money; hence, they decided to sell him..

Colombian forward who joined Liverpool from FC Porto in the 2022-23 season has been on Bayern Munich’s list since last summer, with manager Vincent Kompany identifying him as the best for the left forward position.

Bayern Munich have so far signed only two players: veteran centre back Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen and 19-year-old central midfielder Tom Bischof from TSG Hoffenheim.

Players Liverpool have signed

The Reds have signed Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen, Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth, Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia, Armin Pecsi from Puskas AFC, Frederick Woodman from Preston North End and Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt. The prices of these players sum up to nearly 300 million pounds.

The club made an astonishing 120 million bid for Newcastle’s talented 25-year-old striker Alexander Isak, but the Magpies rejected it.

The English champions are expected to make an improved bid for the Swedish forward, who can play across all the front three positions.

Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez and English midfielder Harvey Elliot are expected to leave soon.

Luis Diaz will undergo a Bayern Munich medical test before all paperwork is signed
