The Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum, has emphasized that the Black Stars will approach their final 2026 World Cup qualifying match against Comoros with complete focus and a determination to win.
Ghana’s impressive 5–0 victory over the Central African Republic earlier this week has placed the team within touching distance of qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, to be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM, Asante Twum stated that the team remains grounded despite their strong position in the group standings.
“Everyone in camp understands that the job is not done yet,” he said.
“We are going into the Comoros game with the mindset to win, not to settle for a draw.”
The decisive match is scheduled for Sunday at 7:00 p.m. (GMT) at the Accra Sports Stadium, where Ghana will only need a single point to officially book their ticket to the World Cup.
However, Asante Twum stressed that the players and technical team are not allowing complacency to creep in, as their goal is to finish the campaign in style and give fans another reason to celebrate.
Ghana currently leads Group I with 22 points, ahead of Comoros and other competitors.
