Mohammed Kudus scored the only goal as Ghana defeated Comoros 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday night in the final game of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The first half was dull, with both sides creating few chances. However, just two minutes into the second half, Kudus tapped in from close range to give Ghana the lead.
That goal was enough to seal victory for the Black Stars, who finished the qualifiers with 25 points out of a possible 30, securing their place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
With this achievement, Ghana becomes the first West African country to qualify for the tournament, marking their fifth appearance at the World Cup.
