Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has named a 22-man squad for Ghana’s upcoming international friendlies against Japan and South Korea this month.
The Black Stars will face Japan in the 2025 Kirin Cup on November 14, before playing South Korea on November 18 as part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Coach Addo has handed first-time call-ups to three promising players — Prince Adu Kwabena of Viktoria Plzen, Prince Osei Owusu of FC Montreal, and Kelvin Nkrumah of Medeama SC — as part of efforts to build a stronger and more competitive team.
However, key players Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey, Inaki Williams, Alexander Djiku, and Mohammed Kudus will miss the trip due to injuries.
The team is expected to hold its first training session in Nagoya, Japan, on November 12, ahead of their clash with the Samurai Blue.
Coach Otto Addo urged Ghanaians to rally behind the team as they continue preparations for upcoming major tournaments, including the World Cup qualifiers.
