Ghanaian defender Denis Odoi has completed a move to Dutch Eredivisie side NAC Breda, joining on a free transfer until the end of the season, with an option to extend for an additional year.
The 37-year-old links up with fellow Ghana international Kamal Sowah, reuniting a partnership last seen during the Black Stars’ 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign in Qatar.
NAC Breda confirmed the transfer in an official announcement, highlighting Odoi’s arrival as a timely boost for a defence currently dealing with multiple injuries. His versatility, leadership qualities, and vast experience are expected to play a crucial role as the club strengthens its backline for the remainder of the season.
Odoi brings a rich résumé of European football, having previously featured for Club Brugge, Royal Antwerp, and Fulham. Earlier in his career, he also lined up for KSC Lokeren, Sint-Truiden, and OH Leuven, progressing through the academies of Anderlecht, Genk, and OH Leuven.
The veteran full-back is expected to slot seamlessly into the setup as NAC Breda look to stabilise their defence and push for a stronger second half of the campaign.
