Manchester City are reportedly preparing to trigger the release clause of Ghana international Antoine Semenyo ahead of the upcoming winter transfer window.
Semenyo, who was a highly sought-after target during the summer with interest from Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur, chose to extend his contract with Bournemouth instead.
As the January window approaches, Bournemouth is bracing for renewed transfer interest in the Ghanaian forward, who has a £65 million release clause in his contract. Multiple clubs are reportedly circling, ready to submit bids for the Black Stars attacker.
Manchester City, whose priority is to strengthen their wings in the January window, are understood to be leading the chase and prepared to meet Semenyo’s release clause.
Semenyo began the Premier League season in blistering form, and while his momentum has slightly dipped, he remains a key figure for Bournemouth. The 24-year-old has featured in 13 matches across all competitions, scoring six goals and providing three assists, helping the Cherries maintain a solid position near the top half of the table.
