Former Ghana national coach Kwasi Appiah has signed a contract extension with the Sudan national men’s football team, keeping him at the helm until 2028.
The three-year renewal comes after successful negotiations with the Sudan Football Association at their Khartoum headquarters.
Appiah, who was appointed head coach in September 2023, was tasked with revitalizing the team—a challenge he has successfully met.
Under his guidance, Sudan secured qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, a milestone that contributed to the decision to extend his contract.
Appiah will now lead the Sudanese team into the upcoming tournament, aiming to build on the progress achieved since his initial appointment.
