After falling out of Leeds United’s first-team plans, Darko Gyabi says choosing Hull City was about finding a place where he felt valued and understood.
The 22-year-old signed a three-year deal in September and has quickly become a key figure under manager Sergej Jakirović.
“When I spoke to Hull, the idea behind the club and how they saw me fitted what I wanted from the next chapter of my career,” he said.
He added that the environment has helped him settle instantly.
“It feels like I’ve been here longer than I have. I’ve adapted, and I’m continuing to learn from all the players and staff.”
With Hull pushing toward the promotion race, Gyabi says the focus is simple — keep improving and keep contributing.
