Tanzania head coach Miguel Gamondi has raised concerns about fairness following his side’s defeat to the Atlas Lions of Morocco.
Speaking after the match, Gamondi suggested that certain actions during the tournament give the impression that Morocco are being favoured to win the competition. He expressed disappointment over decisions that, in his view, influenced the outcome of the game against his team.
The Tanzanian trainer made it clear that his comments were driven by frustration after the loss, stressing that such situations take away from the spirit of fair competition at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Despite the setback, Tanzania are expected to regroup as they reflect on the match and focus on improving their performances going forward.
