Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has insisted he will not give up on winning the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League title, despite his side dropping valuable points in their latest outing.

The Porcupine Warriors were held to a frustrating draw by Berekum Chelsea in their Matchday 18 fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, a result that saw them surrender two crucial points in the title race.

Kotoko currently sit fourth on the league table with 31 points, trailing leaders Medeama SC by six points as the championship battle remains finely poised.

Speaking after the match, Zito admitted his disappointment with the result but reaffirmed his determination to keep pushing for the ultimate prize, even amid inconsistent performances.

“With all seriousness and honesty, I don’t accept this result,” Zito said. “But this will not stop me from fighting for the league title.”

He added: “We still have 16 matches to play. We have to go back to work and make sure we win our away games to make amends.”

Zito will now look to steer Asante Kotoko back to winning ways when the Porcupine Warriors travel to face defending champions Bibiani GoldStars in their next Ghana Premier League fixture.
