German-born Ghanaian defender Dennis Duah has joined 3. Liga side TSV Havelse from 2. Bundesliga side Dynamo Dresden on a short-term loan deal, the club have announced.
Duah, 22, who joined fellow third division outfit Energie Cottbus on a season-long loan deal in the summer of 2025, has struggled for game time in this second half of the season, hence the decision to cut short his loan spell in this January transfer window.
Confirming the transfer, the club;s official statement reads: ‘TSV Havelse has secured its second signing for the second half of the season: center-back Dennis Duah joins Havelse on loan from second-division side Dynamo Dresden until the summer. The 22-year-old was most recently on loan at FC Energie Cottbus, where he made five appearances in the 3. Liga. As he did in Cottbus, Duah will wear the number 15 jersey for TSV Havelse.”
Duah mentioned stated to his club’s official website: ”I am very happy to be here and looking forward to the exciting challenge with TSV Havelse. The lads gave me a good feeling from the start, which is why I am all the more excited to be on the pitch with the team soon.”
Sporting director Florian Riedel added: ”We know Dennis from the Regionalliga Nord, where he demonstrated his ability to take on responsibility at a young age as captain of HSV’s U21 team. On the pitch, he also impresses with his tremendous physical presence, above-average pace, and courage in build-up play. He intensifies the competition within our defense and adds a dimension to our defensive game with his speed that is a real asset in the 3. Liga and something we haven’t had in the squad before. For Dennis, this is also an opportunity to establish himself sustainably at this level.”
The promsing young defender remains eligible to switch international allegiance and play for Ghana at the international level.
