Albert Amoah announced his return to Asante Kotoko in spectacular style, scoring a breathtaking overhead kick and providing an assist to inspire a commanding 3–0 victory over Basake Holy Stars in the Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Coming on as a substitute, the 24-year-old forward immediately changed the tempo of the game, thrilling the home supporters with a moment of brilliance that stretched Kotoko’s lead. His acrobatic finish made it 2–0 and firmly put the contest beyond the visitors.
Amoah later turned creator, setting up Kwame Poku, who crowned the dominant display with another stunning overhead kick to complete the rout for the Kumasi giants.
The match marked Amoah’s first outing since rejoining Kotoko on loan from Libyan club Al Ahly Benghazi for the remainder of the season. His return followed limited playing time abroad, and his instant impact underlined his familiarity and quality in Kotoko colours.
The performance served as a reminder of Amoah’s past success at the club, having previously emerged as Kotoko’s leading scorer with an impressive 15 goals during the 2024–2025 campaign.
