Ibrahim Tanko, head coach of Medeama SC, has expressed strong belief in Kamaradini Mamudu’s ability to succeed following the defender’s move to Sudanese giants Al Hilal Omdurman.

The Medeama coach praised the right-back’s character, discipline, and commitment, describing his departure as painful but necessary for the player’s career growth. Tanko noted that Mamudu was outstanding both on and off the pitch and leaves behind a legacy of professionalism.

Kamaradini Mamudu recently completed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Al Hilal after an impressive spell in the Ghana Premier League. The 23-year-old defender enjoyed a remarkable 2024/2025 season, scoring eight goals to finish as the league’s highest-scoring defender, with five of those goals coming after matchday 20.

Tanko acknowledged that Medeama will miss Mamudu’s presence but stressed that the club must move forward. He added that the team still has capable right-backs ready to step up and fill the void left by the Ghana international.

Mamudu departs Medeama while the club sits comfortably at the top of the league table, holding an eight-point lead as they push for a second league title. He leaves with two senior appearances for the Black Stars to his name.

The defender has already linked up with Al Hilal and begun training as he prepares for life in the Sudanese league and continental competitions, where his former coach believes he will continue to shine.
