Heart of Lions head coach Bashir Hayford has called on his players to raise their intensity and give their all when they face Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League this weekend.
The seasoned coach stressed that a maximum effort will be crucial if his side hopes to claim any points from the Week 21 fixture at the Kpando Sports Stadium on Saturday, January 31.
“Playing at home, we must double our efforts. We’ve prepared thoroughly for this match, and we’ll see what we can achieve,” Hayford told Heart of Lions TV in a pre-match interview.
Looking ahead to the clash, the coach acknowledged the challenge posed by the Porcupine Warriors. “It will be a very tough contest. We can’t underestimate them. They’re back to winning ways, and we know we have to prepare carefully to meet them,” he said.
Despite a difficult run in the league, Hayford remains confident that his team can produce a positive outcome if they execute their plans effectively.
The Lions will aim to turn their preparations into a strong performance when they welcome Kotoko to Kpando, with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 pm.
