Former Accra Lions midfielder Shawkan Mohammed is now a free agent after mutually agreeing to terminate his contract with Tunisian giants Club Africain.

The 25-year-old has officially parted ways with the Tunis-based club, bringing his spell in North African football to an end and opening the door for a new chapter in his career.

Both parties reached a mutual agreement to end the contract, allowing Shawkan to immediately explore opportunities elsewhere without any transfer restrictions. The decision makes the midfielder available on the open market, with clubs free to negotiate directly with him.

During his time at Club Africain, Shawkan featured across domestic and continental competitions, gaining valuable experience in a highly competitive league. However, with limited opportunities in recent months, the midfielder and the club agreed that a separation would be in the best interests of both sides.

Now unattached, Shawkan Mohammed will be weighing up his next move as he looks to secure regular playing time and reignite his career at a new club.
