English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers has reportedly made an initial offer of €13 million for Ghanaian defender Jonas Adjei Adjetey, currently playing for Swiss giants FC Basel.
The 22-year-old has been a standout performer for Basel this season, featuring for a total of 1,165 minutes in the league and proving instrumental to the team’s defensive stability.
However, Basel are reportedly reluctant to part with their key asset in the middle of the season, meaning that only a significantly higher offer is likely to convince the Swiss side to sell.
Adjetey’s potential move to Wolves has generated excitement among Ghanaian football fans, as the young defender continues to attract attention from top European clubs.
