Ghana star Antoine Semenyo revealed a feeling of frustration following our 2-2 Premier League draw with Tottenham Hotspur, but is keen for the team to continue fighting for every point.

Goals from Rayan Cherki and Semenyo had Pep Guardiola’s men in control at the interval in North London,  but a second-half double from Dominic Solanke forced us to settle for a point.

The result means we remain in second place in the Premier League table, but fall six points behind league-leaders Arsenal.

Despite the gap, Semenyo believes there is still plenty to fight for and has called for further determination for the remainder of the campaign.

“We’ve got more games, there are 14 games to go. We are six points behind, it’s not the end,” he stated in an interview after the game. “We have to keep going.

“Anything can happen. 14 games to go, they might lose a couple of games and we might win.

“The dynamic changes and we have to see what happens. Everyone is visibly frustrated and we go again.”

The winger believes the game plan in the first 45 minutes was executed perfectly by the players, but couldn’t really put a finger on what changed after the break.

“First-half we played really well. It was just keeping the ball and drawing them out. We did that really well and had a few chances on that,” he continued.

“The mentality was to do the same things again. Second-half that didn’t happen and they dominated.

“Couldn’t tell you why if I’m honest. They started picking up momentum and had a couple of chances.

“Getting the crowd into it helped. The crowd were behind them and it definitely helps.”
