German-Ghanaian forward Richmond Tachie has completed a late transfer to FC Magdeburg ahead of the winter window deadline, adding experience to the club’s attacking line in the 2. Bundesliga.
The 26-year-old, who stands at 1.78 meters, moves from FC Kaiserslautern, where he featured regularly in Germany’s second division. Tachie, a right-footed striker, began his career at Tennis Borussia Berlin before progressing through VfL Wolfsburg’s academy up to the U-23 side.
He later played for Viktoria Köln and Borussia Dortmund II, scoring eleven goals and providing ten assists in 40 appearances, and helped Dortmund II gain promotion to the 3. Liga in 2021.
He also had stints with SC Paderborn and a loan spell at Eintracht Braunschweig before returning to Kaiserslautern.
Now, Tachie heads to Magdeburg’s Heinz-Krügel-Platz, aiming to strengthen the team’s push in the second half of the season.
