Kwabena Owusu made his return to the Turkish second division in determined fashion after starting and completing his debut match for Sakaryaspor, despite the club’s narrow 1-0 defeat to Erzurumspor.

The Ghanaian international forward, who is 28 years old, was handed a starting role and delivered an energetic performance throughout the game, showing his readiness to compete at the highest level of the league.

Although Sakaryaspor could not avoid defeat, Owusu’s full-game appearance marked a positive personal milestone in his return to Turkish football.

Attention now shifts to the upcoming weekend, where Kwabena Owusu and Sakaryaspor are set for an interesting clash against Amedspor, a side that features fellow Ghanaian Felix Afena-Gyan.

The encounter is expected to draw interest, as both Ghanaian forwards look to make an impact for their respective clubs in the Turkish Lig 1.
